Why is it important to promote democracy?
Latin America is going through difficult times, where democracies are threatened by dictatorships and political proposals that threaten the principles and values that underpin Western democracy. To this is added the great corruption of the political system, the little participation of the citizens, also reflected in the great abstentionism at the time of voting in different elections, and the violation of Human Rights.
This requires the birth of new leaderships, who know how to build solutions to the many problems that surround us, such as hunger, poverty, lack of public services, lack of opportunities, inequality, among other known challenges.
This is where CARRIERS OF DEMOCRACY come in, as a hotbed of those new leaders, who assume responsibility to carry Democracy as a flag, as a flame that will illuminate their communities and bring development and social prosperity.
What does it consist of?
Through conferences and workshops, we train citizens in three fundamental aspects, such as Human Rights, Citizen Participation, and Leadership (Knowledge, Motivation, and Purpose). These empowered citizens will be able to carry out the fulfillment of their own objectives for which they fight to guarantee their rights, denounce the different acts of corruption, approach the world of politics, knowing what the system of democracy consists of, and before which institutions You can go according to your needs.
In addition, of course, to know that it is the city council, the assemblies, the congress, and other collegiate bodies that are legitimized in each election, where citizens must be the only protagonists.
